LSC earns honors in communications

Lake Superior College’s Public Affairs department recently earned recognition.

During the Sept. 23-25 National Council for Marketing and Public Relations District 5 regional conference in Wichita, Kan., LSC’s Public Affairs and Advancement took home four Medallion awards for prowess in two-year college marketing.

Awards won: A gold Medallion for the LSC Viewbook; a silver Medallion for LSC’s 2011 Holiday Card; a bronze Medallion for the computer-generated illustration on LSC’s 2012-2014 Catalog Cover, and another bronze Medallion for a recent print ad.

NCMPR’s District 5 region includes seven Midwest states, Manitoba, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Gary Kruchowski, LSC’s Director of Public of Affairs and Advancement, was also recognized during the conference as District 5’s “Communicator of the Year.” This was the second time Kruchowski has earned this award; the first time was 2001.
