Daniel E. Adams of Cameron has accepted appointment by the Supreme Court of Wisconsin to the Special Preliminary Review Panel of the Office of Lawyer Regulation.
The Office of Lawyer Regulation is responsible for screening and investigating attorney misconduct and medical incapacity allegations. The Special Preliminary Review Panel consists of four lawyers and three non-lawyers, who are not participating in the lawyer regulation system.
This panel reviews investigative reports received from special investigators and determines whether there is cause to proceed to more formal disciplinary action based on the information gathered. The panel also reviews dismissed matters upon request of a grievant to determine whether further investigation should occur.
Appointment terms are three years, with two consecutive terms allowed.
