Ayres expands Duluth staff

Ayres Associates expanded its Duluth staff and the breadth of professional engineering services.

Recognizing a strong demand for professional services in northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin, Ayres Associates added three engineers to its Duluth staff, bringing experienced project management and lead engineer experience in water resources, municipal and transportation design.

Casey Werner has 10 years of experience. His responsibilities include managing and designing municipal and site civil projects. His areas of design expertise range from roadway and utility design to drainage and stormwater modeling. Paired with his relationships and experience with regulatory agencies, his design experience delivers effective results for a wide range of clients. Werner also has experience with highway and bridge projects. He is a Wisconsin registered professional engineer.

Kaitlin Werner has eight years of professional experience, including hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, storm water design and modeling, hydraulic structure design, general municipal engineering design, and construction inspection support. She is a Wisconsin registered professional engineer.

Aaron Fagerness brings nine years of professional experience to his work on roadway, water supply, utility, and water resources design projects. His work includes geometric roadway layout and design, drainage analysis and design, water main design, sanitary sewer force main design, public outreach, property owner meetings, utility coordination, railroad permitting, street lighting and signal layout, site plan design and review, 404 wetland permitting, erosion control, stormwater pollution prevention plans, and construction administration. He has completed hydrologic and hydraulic studies and the design of storm sewer, channels, ponds, and rain gardens. Fagerness is a Minnesota registered professional engineer, a certified floodplain manager, and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (Building Design + Construction).
