WITC students help seniors redesign lifestyle

WITC Superior Occupational Therapy Assistant Students are conducting a 9-week Lifestyle Redesign Program with various activities and information to promote a healthier, more meaningful and independent life.

The activities are held at Senior Connections, 1805 N. 16th St., on Tuesday’s beginning at 12:15 p.m.

Each week is a different activity:

Tuesday: “Wii Want to Bowl” virtual bowling with Wii-gaming system.

Nov. 6: “Exploration Outing” to be announced.

Nov. 13: “Give me 5: 5 Hot Meals Under $5”

Nov. 27: “Keeping Bzzzzy,” quick crafts for the holidays.

Dec. 4: “Time Capsule,” preserve memories.

December 11th – “Who, What, When, Where,” community resources and health fair.

During Tuesday’s session, you will participate in virtual bowling using the Nintendo Wii video game system. WITC students provide demonstrations, handouts and instruction. Be prepared to have a fun day of virtual bowling!
