In November, we will be voting for a choice of Janet Bewley D-Ashland, or John Sendra, R-Mercer, to represent us in the 74th Assembly District. By far, the better choice is Mr. Sendra. John is a small business owner and tireless worker for small government, fiscal responsibility and more jobs. He is especially interested in bringing iron ore mining into northern Wisconsin.
It is pertinent to emphasize that Rep. Bewley voted against a mining bill for iron ore that would have brought about $1.5 billion investment and more than 2,000 good-paying jobs into northern Wisconsin. Although Bewley cited environmental concerns for voting against this legislation, her real reason for the vote was politically partisan and meant to thwart Gov. Scott Walker and the Republican legislature in their quest to have a better state with more industry and more jobs.
Bewley is now making waves that she is for mining in northern Wisconsin. Don’t believe her; this is election rhetoric. React to what she does, not what she says. We need to fire Ms. Bewley and elect an assembly person who will get things done for us instead of someone who consistently plays partisan politics. We need a representative who believes in people before politics. John Sendra is the person we need.
