The site and time of Saturday’s WIAA football playoff game between the Superior High School Spartans and Appleton North have been changed.

The game will now be played at 2 p.m. Saturday at D.C. Everest High School in Schofield.

“The WIAA has responded to our request for a neutral site because of excessive travel to Appleton,” said Ray Kosey, SHS activities director.

The Level 1 playoff game was originally scheduled to be played at 4 p.m. in Appleton.

The Spartans (4-4) were given the No. 8 seed in Division Group A and will play No. 1 seed Appleton North (8-0). The Lightning are currently ranked No. 3 in the state.

SHS is attempting to get enough students for a fan bus. The bus, if filled, will depart Superior at 9 a.m. and return approximately at 8:30 a.m.

The student fan bus costs $35 and does not include your game admission of $4. You have to purchase your game ticket at game.

Permission slips may be picked up in the treasures office and are due no later than Thursday at 8:30 a.m.

Bus is limited to the first 45 forms and money turned in. A minimum of 40 students are need for the bus to go to Schofield.

Julie Urban is also trying to organize a parent family bus. If interested email Urban at Julie.Urban@superior.k12.wi.us.
