Ohio St. skates to 3-2 win over Minn. Duluth

DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Max McCormick scored the only goal of the third period to give Ohio State a 3-2 men's college hockey win over Minnesota-Duluth on Saturday.

McCormick scored with an assist from Tanner Fritz at 6:56 of the period. Goalie Collin Olson had eight of his 26 saves in the third period.

The Bulldogs (1-1-0) had tied the game on second-period power-play goals by Joe Basaraba and Mike Seidel. Seidel had two power-play goals in Friday's 6-2 Bulldogs win.

Alex Carlson and Fritz staked the Buckeyes (1-1-0) to a 2-0 lead against UMD goalie Aaron Crandall, who had 18 saves.
