N. Michigan beats Wisconsin 2-1

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Cohen Adair's tie-breaking power-play goal midway through the third period rallied Northern Michigan past Wisconsin 2-1 on Friday in men's college hockey.

Trailing 1-0 going into the third period, the Wildcats (1-0-0) got the tying goal by Reed Seckel 18 seconds into the period and the go-ahead goal by Adair at 9:07.

The Badgers (0-1-0) took just three shots on goal in the third period and 20 overall. Their only goal was by Michael Mersch in the first period, in which they had a game-high 10 shots.

Jared Coreau had 19 saves for the Wildcats, who outshot Wisconsin 21-20.

Wisconsin goalie Joel Rumpel made 19 saves.
