George John Bolos, 75, of South Range passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth surrounded by his family.
George John Bolos, 75, of South Range passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth surrounded by his family.
George was born on Sept. 11, 1937 in Wascott to the late George Sr. and Violet (Lamberg) Bolos.
George married Sue Lawler on Sept. 27, 1958 They enjoyed 54 years of marriage together.
George was honorably discharged for the U.S. Army in 1962.
George was employed for Superior Water and Light. He retired in 1992, after 31 years of faithful service.
George spent a great majority of his life enjoying the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fishermen and golfer.
Among those who survive and gratefully shared his life; his wife of 54 years, Sue, of South Range; his children, Terri (Rick) Gondik, of Foxboro, Tammy (Dave) Cutsforth, of Fall Creek, Wis.; three brothers, Roger (Arlys) Bolos, of Lake Nebagamon, Donald (Laurie) Bolos, of South Range, Gerald Bolos of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; one sister, Beatrice (Lloyd) Harris of Barthsville, Okla.; four grandchildren, Danielle, Derek (Kascie), Garrett, Jacob Gondik; one great grandchild Jake Gondik, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by one nephew, Joshua Bolos, 1997.
Visitation will be held 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral services on Monday, Oct. 8 at the Brown Funeral Home in Solon Springs. Rev. Nathan Winterhof officiating. Interment will be held at the Gordon Memorial Cemetery in Gordon. Military rites will be presented by the Wisconsin Military Honors Program.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Solon Springs.
