MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Dane County authorities report another bicyclist has died in a crash with a motor vehicle.
The sheriff's office say a bicyclist was killed Monday when she was struck by a pickup truck near Governor Nelson State Park in Westport.
A sheriff's spokeswoman says the pickup was traveling south on Highway M when it veered off the road and struck the cyclist shortly before 11:40 a.m.
The bicyclist died at the scene. Her name was not released.
The Wisconsin State Journal reports it is the second bicycle fatality in Dane County in less than a week.
On Wednesday, a bicyclist collided with a car on Madison's East Side. The Dane County medical examiner's office says 21-year-old Tyler Knipfer of Madison was pinned beneath the vehicle and died several days later.
