The Northwestern High school girls and boys cross country teams finished first and second, respectively, at the Hayward Invitational Tuesday.
Jordan Johnson was the top runner for the Tiger girls, finishing second, and Emma Nelson took fourth. Also scoring for the Tiger girls were Michaela Ruhman in 11th; Carmen Ormston in 17th; and Anna Kalin in 19th.
Mason Lombard finished sixth to lead the Tiger boys. He was followed by Travis Sznaider in 11th; Kyle Routio in 14th; Ty Rankin in 17th; and Josiah Vik in 24th.
Northwestern is back in action at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Heart O’ North Conference meet in Spooner.
