Superior police are searching for a man who stole a bank bag filled with cash from Aces on 29th Monday morning.

The man came into the bar area of Aces at about 10:43 a.m., sat at the bar near the register and ordered some food, according to a Superior police report. While he was waiting for his order, a blue bank bag was placed next to the register. The man grabbed the bag and exited the establishment with it. He left on a BMX bike riding north out of the lot toward North 28th Street.

About $442 was stolen.

The suspect is described as a white male about 6 feet tall and average build. He is possibly in his 30s with a goatee.

At the time of the incident, the man was wearing a neon green construction vest over a dark sweatshirt, a baseball cap and a backpack on his back.

Patrons and staff were not able to get a good look at the man’s face because he had the hood of the sweatshirt pulled up over his head.

The incident remains under investigation, according to Superior Police Chief Charles LaGesse.
