The Flag of Honor program, initiated by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post 435, honors one deceased veteran each week.
The Flag of Honor program, initiated by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post 435, honors one deceased veteran each week. A flag is raised in the veteran’s memory on a Friday and lowered the following week. Information on that veteran is on display in the Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center throughout the week. Everyone is welcome to attend the ceremony, which is free and open to the public.
