Galleries open doors for fall Twin Ports Gallery Progressive

The Northern Prints Gallery, 318 N. 14th Ave. E., Duluth, holds an open house 5-8 p.m. Thursday and 1-6 p.m. Oct. 12 featuring a selection of regional woodcuts, etchings and screen prints and music by Jeremy Ehrens.
Phantom Galleries at 1112 and 1412 Tower Avenue in Superior holds an art party 5-9 p.m. Thursday celebrating new art environments in vacant storefronts and the Tower Avenue Back Door Project. There will be a flashlight tour at 7 p.m. and artists talks from Luke Krisak, Chris Watten, Terry Millikan, Cecilia Ramón and Angela Haworth and recognition of the Back Door Project artists.
Duluth Art Institute, 506 W. Michigan St., Duluth, holds an artist dialogue with Eric Dubnicka and Jeremy Schock at 5:30 p.m.
Just for the Season Gallery in the Holiday Center, 207 W. Superior St., Duluth, holds a gallery reception 3-7 p.m. Thursday for this month’s featured artist, Edna Blanchard with an artist demonstration 2-5 p.m. Friday.
Pineapple Arts, 124 W. First St., Duluth, opens from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday featuring artwork from the volunteers at Pineapple Arts plus hands-on workstations. Waters of Superior, 395 S. Lake Ave., Duluth, opens 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
Zeitgeist Arts, 222 E. Superior St., Duluth, opens 11 a.m. to midnight Thursday and Friday featuring UDAC’s Art Junction show.
North End Arts Gallery, 1323 Broadway St., Superior, will feature Diana Randolph: The Natural World oil paintings and pastels exhibition and poetry book “Beacons of the Earth and Sky” from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
American Indian Community Housing Organization, 202 W. Second St., Duluth presents Ivy Vainio’s photographs at 6 p.m. Friday.
