The Northwestern High School volleyball team lost to the Spooner Rails 3-1 Tuesday night in the NHS gym in Maple.
Spooner won the opening game 25-22 before the Tigers tied things up with a 25-21 win in game two.
The Rails clinched the match with wins of 25-18 and 25-16 in games three and four.
For the Tigers, Tiana Arseneau had nine kills, Erin Gotelaere had six kills and C.J. Kahl had 15 digs.
The loss drops the Tigers to 5-15 overall and 1-6 in the Heart O’ North Conference.
Northwestern will play in a Heart O’ North Conference meet at Hayward at 9 a.m. Saturday.
The Tigers then host an HON meet on Oct. 11 to close the regular season.
