Senior connections offers free summit for caregivers

Senior Connections and the Head of the Lakes Caregiver Alliance sponsors a free Community Caregiver Education Summit 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Superior Public Library, 1530 Tower Ave.

The summit features sessions relating to caregiving such as spousal impoverishment, Alzheimer’s disease and wellness programs. Kathy Chesly of Ashland presents the keynote address “Laughter as Exercise.”

During lunch, there will be an opportunity to explore local resources and network with other caregivers and professionals.

The afternoon will highlight evidenced-based prevention programs like Living Well with Chronic Conditions and the Matter of Balance Fall Prevention Program.

The public is invited to the free summit, but you must register.
