Miriam Rounsville, 88, Superior, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth.
She was born on May 25, 1924 in Superior to Alf and Elvina (Okerstrom) Johnson.
Miriam grew up in Port Wing but prior to moving to Superior, she lived in Eau Claire for 30 years.
She married Irvin Rounsville on Aug. 19, 1950 in Duluth and recently celebrated 62 years of marriage.
In addition to her husband Irvin, Miriam is survived by two daughters, Irene Talley, Linda (Frank) Emmert; two sons, Roland (Dot) Rounsville, Ralph (Jeannne) Rounsville; her grandchildren, Millie (Rocky) LaRocque, Angie (Brandon) Cegelske, Debbie (Troy) Woodhull, Amanda Rounsville, Amy Rounsville, Brandon Rounsville, Frank Emmert III, Justin Emmert and Aaron Emmert; great-grandchildren, Christian LaRocque, Owen and Mason Cegelske, Ethan and Kaitlyn Woodhull, Izabella Emmert; three sisters, Doris Voight, Dorothy (Donald) Voight, Ellen Virginia Canning and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Rolland Johnson and a sister, Corine Voight.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home and will continue at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5 until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Pilgrim Lutheran Church with Rev. Will Mowchan, officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Cemetery.
