Superior man accused of delivering heroin to make initial appearance

A Superior man arrested Tuesday for repeated deliveries of heroin is slated to make his initial appearance today in Douglas County Circuit Court.

A Superior man arrested Tuesday for repeated deliveries of heroin is slated to make his initial appearance today in Douglas County Circuit Court.

Carvell Nashun Robinson was arrested for the sale/delivery of heroin as a result of an investigation conducted by the narcotics investigators from the Superior Police Department and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. More than three grams of heroin was seized during the investigation, according to a release from Deputy Chief Nick Alexander with the Superior Police Department. Robinson will be charged with six counts of the sale/delivery of heroin, and one count of sale/delivery of herion, party to a crime, according to Alexander. Each count is a class F felony and carries a penalty of a fine not to exceed $25,000, or imprisonment not to exceed 12 years and 6 months, or both.

Additionally, Robinson is a convicted felon. A search warrant was executed at his residence as part of the investigation and he was found to be in possession of two firearms, the release stated. Both firearms were seized and an additional charge of felon in possession of a firearm, a class G felony, is being sought. A class G felony carries a penalty of a fine not to exceed $25,000, or imprisonment not to exceed 10 years, or both.

This is just an example of many narcotics related arrests within the past few months initiated by the narcotics investigators from the Superior Police Department and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, according to Alexander. Many arrests have been made on similar charges relating to the sale, delivery and/or possession of methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, and marijuana.
