SHS volleyball to host ‘Dig for Pink’

The Superior High School volleyball team will sponsor a “Dig for Pink” event which will raise money for “Side-Out,” an organization supported by Kerri Walsh (USA Olympic beach volleyball gold medalist).

The Superior High School volleyball team will sponsor a “Dig for Pink” event which will raise money for “Side-Out,” an organization supported by Kerri Walsh (USA Olympic beach volleyball gold medalist).

All fans are encouraged to wear pink at all three volleyball matches (varsity, junior varsity and “C” team) when the Spartans host Duluth Denfeld on Tuesday, Oct. 2. The event will help raise money and awareness for the organization which supports cancer awareness and research.

The “C” and JV games are at 5:45 p.m. and the varsity game starts at 7 p.m.

There will be t-shirts for sale, 50/50 drawings and a donation box.

The players will have special warm-up shirts commemorating the cause.
