Coats for kids needed

Don’t leave our kids out in the cold! The Northlands 10th annual coats for kids will take place Oct. 1-31.

Don’t leave our kids out in the cold! The Northlands 10th annual coats for kids will take place Oct. 1-31. Bring in a new or used coat for all ages of kids and teens. Remember adult coats fit teens. Lake Superior Cleaners will clean the coats. Salvation Army will distribute the coats in the northland area. This is the 10th year of the coat drive. Approximately 1,000 coats per year have been distributed to the kids in the Northland, that’s a total of 9,000 coats for the kids. With the floods this year, there is going to be a larger demand, so clean out those closets and bring them to one of the drop-off sites. Drop-off sites are: Benna Ford Roush of Superior, B-105, WDIO-TV 10/13, all Lake Superior Cleaner locations (31 West Central Entrance and 2nd Avenue West in Duluth, and 1310 Ogden Ave. in Superior), the Haunted Ship in Canal Park, Mobile Image, Engwall’s Corn Maze, and Nevada Bob’s Golf. For more information call (715) 392-2268.
