The Superior High School girls swimming and diving team finished in eighth place at Saturday’s Eau Claire North Huskie Invitational.
Hudson won the team title with 347 points.
The Spartans, who finished with 80 points, were led by Kaitlin Heinen, who finished second in the 200 freestyle (2:01.31) and 100 backstroke (1:02.75).
Heinen also swam with Kaitlin Sanders, Grace Elonen and Kjersten Lisak on the medley relay team that finished sixth.
Giselle Sziron finished fourth in diving with 262.20 points. She was just 18 points out of first place in her first ever 11-dive meet.
Sanders also finished sixth in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:17.71.
Superior is back in action at Saturday’s Taconite Invite in Aurora, Minn. The diving competition begins at 9 a.m. and swimming begins at 12:30 p.m.
