Senior Connections offers hot, nutritious meals Monday-Friday for people 60 or older. Meals are served at congregate sites throughout Douglas County, and are delivered to homebound individuals. A contribution of $3.50 per meal is requested, but no one is denied because of inability to pay. Call (715) 394-3611 or (800) 870-2181.

Next week’s menu includes:

Oct. 1: Beef tips in gravy, egg noodles, carrot coins, whole wheat bun, orange pudding.

Oct. 2: Chicken breast, whipped potatoes, gravy, Brussel sprouts, wheat dinner roll, chilled peaches.

Oct. 3: Scalloped potatoes and ham, sweet potatoes, wheat bread, tropical fruit salad.

Oct. 4: Sloppy Joe on a bun, potato salad, baked beans, fruit crisp.

Oct. 5: Tuna-macaroni casserole, parsley cauliflower, wheat dinner roll, fruited Jell-O.
