Man, dog killed in camper trailer fire in Dairyland
A 47-year-old Dairyland man and his dog were killed in an early morning fire today, according to Douglas County Sheriff Thomas Dalbec.
A 47-year-old Dairyland man and his dog were killed in an early morning fire today, according to Douglas County Sheriff Thomas Dalbec.
The blaze at 2978 Knutson Road was reported at approximately 2:30 a.m. today. When Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Town of Dairyland Fire Department members arrived, the camper trailer was fully engulfed in flames. After the fire was extinguished, they found the occupant, John J. Harris, and his dog had not made it out of the trailer and were deceased.
The causes of death, and the fire, remain under investigation by the sheriff’s office and the Douglas County Medical Examiner’s Office.
