Youth fair offers fun

An exciting day is planned for the 15th annual Douglas County Youth Fair.

An exciting day is planned for the 15th annual Douglas County Youth Fair. The event is being held Saturday at the Superior Middle School from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A host of fun, educational activities await both youth and adults and all activities are free.

The Youth Fair provides a venue to discover community resources and services available to youth and families. Nearly 40 local organizations and agencies will have booths featuring information, activities, and giveaways. There is no cost for the Youth Fair and a free pizza lunch is being offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is sponsored by UW-Extension, the Superior School District and the Superior Area Council PTA. The event is open to the general public.

Youth will have many activities to choose from. The Superior Area Council PTA is sponsoring youth inflatables and music. There will also be games, gym activities, art projects, face painting, many make and take activities, and other youth activities. Youth will also be able to sign up for door prizes donated by local businesses and agencies.

For more information, contact Joan Wimme at UW-Extension at (715) 395-1365.
