Attorney Kanuit joins Fryberger, Buchanan, Smith & Frederick

David R. Oberstar, president of Fryberger, Buchanan, Smith & Frederick, P.A., announced attorney Robert R. Kanuit, formerly of Kanuit & Bray Law Firm in Hermantown, will be joining the Fryberger firm on Oct. 1. He will work in the firm’s Duluth office, practicing in bankruptcy, real estate law, business law and formation, and wills and trusts.

Kanuit received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Macalester College in 1990, and graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in 1994.

Kanuit is a member of the Eleventh District Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Federal Court for the District of Minnesota, the Wisconsin State Bar Association and the Federal Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. He is also member and chairman of the city of Hermantown Board of Appeals and Adjustments.

Fryberger, Buchanan, Smith & Frederick, P.A. has 26 attorneys practicing in most areas of civil law and has provided legal services to the region since 1893.
