St. Scholastica junior cornerback and Superior High School grad Mike LaValley has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for week three.
LaValley recorded a pair of interceptions in Saturday’s 45-3 Homecoming victory over Greenville College (Ill.) His first pick of 27 yards, which was the 10th longest in program history, led to CSS’s first touchdown of the game.
Later in the contest, LaValley recorded the longest interception return in program history, taking it 73 yards for the team’s final touchdown of the game.
He also had three tackles in the victory.
