The following is another “Have Fun or Get Out of the Way” column by award-winning Don Leighton and Mike Granlund and their alter egos, Lance Boyle and Billy Pirkola, which runs occasionally in The Superior Telegram.
Superior High School Assistant Principal Bill Punyko will parachute from a plane to raise money for Hunger Takes No Holiday and Second Harvest Food Bank.
The event will take place at 5 p.m. Thursday prior to the SHS freshmen football game at Ole Haugsrud Field.
Paper plates may be purchased for $1 and will be placed on the field. The owner of the plate Punyko lands on will receive a $100 gift card from Target and win a lunch with Lance Boyle and Mr. Punyko at Grizzly’s.
The winner will also get the inside scoop from Punyko about his dare-devil leap to help Superior food shelves. Donations can also be left at the high school to Mr. Punyko’s attention.
Making sure nothing happens to our hero, the Golden Knights U.S. Army precision parachute team will assist Punyko in his leap.
