Larson joins WITC to provide business, industry safety training

In this new position, Larson will collaborate with businesses throughout the 11-county WITC district to develop and administer customized training or professional development seminars for employees in the areas of forklift train-the-trainer, lead safe renovation, OSHA-related training, safety systems, mine safety, and various other safety-related subjects as required by community employers. Technical assistance projects also are administered for business and industry, including the development of safety systems, inspections, audits and other related services.
Larson graduated from Hennepin Technical College in Minneapolis and has been a journeyman bricklayer since 1981. He has been the bricklaying and masonry program instructor at WITC since 1993. Safety training has long been part of Larson’s resume as well. He is an OSHA authorized construction outreach trainer and OSHA authorized general industry trainer. He has completed forklift train-the-trainer and MSHA Part 46 New Miner courses.
