Anchor Bar I put the finishing touches on a perfect season in the Thursday Night Big Ball League by defeating Jimmy’s Saloon 7-0 in the playoff championship game Aug. 30 at Wade Bowl.
Anchor Bar I, which was 10-0 during the regular season, defeated Dodgie’s East End Tavern 12-0 in the opening round of the playoffs then Anchor Bar II 6-3 in the semifinals.
Jimmy’s (9-3), which tied for second in the regular season with Nelly’s, advanced to the title game by defeating the Dugout Lounge 6-2 and Nelly’s/Schultz’s 3-2.
