Nemadji

Hole-in-one

Dana Stone of Brule recorded a hole-in-one on No. 14S at the Nemadji Golf Course with an 8-iron on Friday, Sept. 7.

Witnessing the shot on the 132-yard hole was Pat Etter of Superior.

Thursday Morning Ladies

The Thursday Morning Ladies league at Nemadji Golf Course will wrap up its season with a scramble followed by lunch and prizes. Golfer may register any time after 9 a.m. Golf will start with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. on the North course.

The winner of last week’s event of most sixes was JoAnn Haugland.

One highlight was Mary Meierotto’s birdie on N4.

Northern Pines

Green Dreamers Ladies

Three clubs and a putter was the challenge of the day for the Green Dreamers Ladies League at Northern Pines Golf Course in Iron River.

The winner of the event was Barb Brooks with a net score 37 and a second place four-way tie went to Esther Ollenberger, Dee Ginthner, Bonnie Gustafson and Linda Brunner with net scores of 38.

Joyce Lind scored a birdie on No. 2 and Bev Lindsey chipped in on No. 4.

Lindy Memorial

Gary Swanson won the championship flight of the Lindy Memorial Men’s Shortstop Tournament Sept. 7-9 at the Norwood Golf Course in Lake Nebagamon.

Swanson, Jared Botten and Joe Hicks carded 62s during medalist, 18-hole qualifying play on Saturday.
