Registration begins for ballet, dance classes with sampler
The School of the Minnesota Ballet registers students for Semester I, which runs Sept. 10-Jan. 19, offering pre-ballet, ballet technique on seven levels, pointe and variations, Creative Movement for children ages 3-5, jazz, beginning tap, Athletic Dance for Young Men, and Creative Dance for children with physical/developmental challenges.

The Teen/Adult Division offers ballet, modern, jazz, tap, ballroom and Pilates Mat Exercises. Admission to teen/adult classes is by class card, which may be purchased at the ballet office.
On Saturday, the School of the Minnesota Ballet holds its Saturday Sampler in the ballet’s studios at the Depot, 506 W. Michigan St. Sampler classes run:
• 10-10:30 a.m., creative movement for ages 3-5.
• 10:30-11 a.m., pre-ballet, ages 6-7.
• 11-11:30 a.m., ballet technique, ages 8-10.
• 11:30 a.m. to noon, ballet technique, ages 11-adult.
• Noon to 12:30 p.m., beginning tap, ages 10-adult.
• 12:30-1 p.m., jazz, ages 12-adult.
• 1-1:30 p.m., modern, ages 12-adult.
