Paul Fitzgerald shot a hole-in-one Aug. 29 at Nemadji Golf Course. The Superior man aced the 161-yard No. 6E hole with a 9-iron. Witnessing the shot was Tom Sorensen of Superior.

Thursday
Morning Ladies
This week the Thursday Morning Ladies League will play the East course at the Nemadji Golf Course. A draw for partners is at 8:15 a.m. with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. The event will be most sixes.
The winner of last week’s event of throwing out one high and one low score was Kelly Reed with 29.
Highlights were Ginger Smith chipping in for a birdie, Pam Locken chipping in for a par, birdies each for Beth Olson and Brenda Milinkovich and two birdies for Julie Hines.
The league will wrap up with a scramble and banquet on Thursday. Teams will be assigned at 9:15 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m.
Lunch will be a taco salad for $8. Sign up in the pro shop. Golfers may pay at the banquet.

Thursday Swingers
The Thursday Morning Swingers league held their annual Grammas Tournament on Aug. 30 at Botten’s Green Acres in Lake Nebagamon.
Carol Farmakes finished first, followed by Shirley Umolac, Dorothy Lundgren and Marla Larson.
Event winners were: Jan Christensen, short drive; Umolac, long drive and a chip-in on No. 1; Lundgren, most putts; and Karen Helenius, most grandchildren.
