The Superior High School cross country team will host the Spartan Invitational Thursday at the Nemadji Golf Course.
Race times are:
4 p.m. — Middle school boys and girls.
4:30 p.m. — Girls junior varsity.
5 p.m. — Girls varsity.
5:30 p.m. — Boys junior varsity.
6 p.m. — Boys varsity.
The Spartan team will have the initials “DS” on the sleeve of their warm-up shirts in honor of former cross country runner David Smith who died this summer in an ATV accident at age 23.
“David was an outstanding young man and runner,” SHS coach Dan Conway said.
