AARP offers seniors safe driving program

AARP offers its Driver Safety Program at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Superior Public Library, 1530 Tower Ave.
The four-hour course is available to drivers 50 years and older. The course explains the changes that occur in vision, hearing and reaction time as we age and provides useful driving safety tips and strategies for handling these changes.
Several major auto insurance carriers in Wisconsin offer discounts to graduates of AARP Driver Safety Program. For example, AARP’s auto insurance, underwritten by the Hartford Co., offers a discount to eligible graduates for three years. Interested people should contact their carrier to see if such discount is available.

There is a $12 fee for the course AARP members, please bring AARP membership card, or $14 for non-members, payable the day of the course.
