The Northwestern High School volleyball team picked up a pair of home victories this week with 3-0 wins over South Shore and Hurley.
The Tigers are now 2-2 overall. Their next game is 7 p.m. Tuesday at Drummond.
Northwestern defeated Hurley 3-0 (25-11, 25-12, 25-10) Wednesday night in Maple. Connilyn Hursh led the Tigers on offense with nine kills, followed by Tiana Arseneau with six kills. C.J. Kahl had 12 digs for Northwestern, and Erin Gotelaere finished with seven ace serves.
On Tuesday, the NHS volleyball team defeated South Shore 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-19). Hursh and Arseneau both had five kills, Alie Larson had four ace serves for Northwestern, and Kahl had eight digs.
