The North Shore Sounds under the direction of Brian G. MacDonell, proudly present their annual “Goodtime Barbershop and Variety Show at 7:30 p.m., Sept. 15 at Marshall School Fregeau Auditorium in Duluth.

This time around, the evening will have a patriotic theme, with music to stir the national pride in us all. Honoring our veterans and celebrating the homecoming of our brave troops “God Bless America” will be an unforgettable evening of music.

The premier women’s barbershop chorus of the Northland, the North Shore Sounds, headlines the show. The chorus will set the tone of the evening with a mixture of patriotic spirituals and poignant ballads.

Also featured on the program are: Just Friends, Ripple Effect, Patrick Reijo, the Superior Singers, Four to Go (formerly the Dukes of Duluth) and for the first time on the show, the Duluth/ Superior Harbormasters. An exciting special guest this year will be Bruce Burnside from the Big Top Chautauqua in Bayfield. He will perform “Unsung Stories of the Civil War”.

Back again will be Master of Ceremonies Pat Puchalla, with the show starting with the presentation of the colors with the Duluth Honor Guard.

The evening will be a very powerful and emotional one for all, with the North Shore Sound happy to donate part of the proceeds to the National Honor Flight, honoring our veterans by sending them to Washington, D.C.

Tickets for the show will be $10 each and are available from members of the North Shore Sounds, at the door, or by calling (218) 348-8314 to reserve or for more information.
