Superior’s Robert Schamberger aced No. 9N on Aug. 23 at the Nemadji Golf Course with an 8-iron.
Witnessing the shot on the 113-yard hole were Seppo Sormunen, Al Kurtz Sr., and Forrest Reider.
Monday Morning Fun League
There was a tie in the Monday Morning Fun League’s least putts event between Marcy Rigstad and Kathy Nelson. Closest to the pin in three strokes on No. 2N was Linda Craig.
Low scores were Kathy Nelson, 44; Tina Rogers, 48; and Barb Buhr, 49.
The league will be playing on Labor Day for all interested. The game will be low net.
The winner of the league’s closest to the pin in one shot last week was Tina Rogers. The closest in two shots was Barb Johnson.
This week’s events were closest to the pin on a par 5 in three shots and low putts.
Thur. Morning Ladies
This week the Thursday Morning Ladies League will play the North course. A draw for partners is at 8:15 a.m. with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m. The event will be throw out one high and one low score.
The winner of last week’s event was Kelly Reed.
Low scores for the week were: Linda Craig, 43; Pam Locken, 44; Kelly Reed, 45; and Mary Meierotto, 47.
The end of year banquet and scramble is Sept 13. Sign up in the pro shop by Sept. 6. The cost is $8 for a taco salad lunch. Golfers may pay the day of the Banquet.
Thur. Nite Ladies
The Nemadji Thurs Nite Ladies League played the West course last week and the winner of the weekly event was Donna Martin with five sixes.
Anne Kitto, Brenda Engstrom and Donna Protokowicz birdied No. 14W; Terri Johnstone birdied 17W and Julie Nelson birdied No. 10W and 16W.
The league’s last night of golf is this week and a scramble with own team and tee time will be played on the North course. The league banquet is at 6 p.m. Sept. 6 at the clubhouse.

The Thursday Morning Swingers League at Botten’s Green Acres ended its regular season with a banquet on Aug. 23. The annual Grandmas Tournament is at 10 a.m. Thursday.
