One dead, two injured in Bayfield County crash
One person is dead and two are injured from a two-vehicle crash in Grand View, Wis.

According to the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Department, the accident around 3:45 p.m. Saturday on U.S. Highway 63 when a man from Barrie, Ontario lost control of his vehicle and skidded into the southbound lanes.
James Collins, 64, was traveling northbound and struck a vehicle driven by Cody Weiss, 21, of Mason, Wis.
Weiss and his passenger, 22-year-old Tamara Wood of Ashland were injured in the crash and had to be extricated from the vehicle. They were transported to Memorial Medical Center in Ashland and were later transferred to Duluth hospitals.
Collins was killed in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
Bayfield County Deputies responded with Mason, Great Divide, and Ashland Ambulance Services; and Grand View, Drummond, and Namakagon Fire Departments. Medical helicopters were requested, but were unavailable at the time of the accident.
