ANNIVERSARY: Mavis and Pete Moran

Mavis and Pete Moran of Superior celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a holiday weekend gathering with family and friends over Labor Day weekend. In July, they renewed their marriage vows at Cathedral of Christ the King.

Mavis and Pete were married Sept. 1, 1972, in Beloit, Wis. They have resided in Superior since then.

Their children are John Moran of Madison and Amanda Moran of Tulsa, Oklahoma. They have one grandchild, Jude Craig, also of Tulsa.

Pete retired from teaching Marketing and Management at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College after 32 years and from the United State Army Reserve. Mavis retired from teaching social studies and German in Superior, Beloit and Iowa after 36 years.
