Hartley Nature Center is teaming up with Wild Ones to host the bi-annual Habitat Here! Festival 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

This free event takes place at the Hartley Nature Center, 3001 Woodland Ave., Duluth.

Those who attend can participate in talks on the importance of native bees and natural landscaping, go on guided tours of Hartley’s gardens, and get the kids involved in activities designed just for them. For everyone there will be experts on hand to answer questions and native plant sellers so you can buy plants or place an order for next spring.

Habitat Here! is about making back yards friendlier to the animals that call this area home, providing more native habitat and inviting them in where we can see them. A side benefit is less yard maintenance For more information call (218) 724-6735 or visit the website at www.hartleynature.org.
