Nemadji

Shoots below age

Superior’s Al Gagne shot below his age at the Nemadji Golf Course on Saturday, Aug. 18.

Gagne, who is 70 years old, carded a 68 on the North-South course from the white tees.

Thursday Nite Ladies

The Thursday Nite Ladies played the East course last week with the event count your putts. The least putts was won by Marie Swenson and the most by Carrie Lustig.

This week’s event will be most sixes.

Prizes for all weekly event winners and scramble winners will be awarded at the league banquet at 6 p.m. on Sept. 6 at the Clubhouse. Payment in advance for the meal is required.

Thursday Morning Ladies

The Thursday Morning Ladies League at the Nemadji Golf Course will play the East course this week. A draw for partners is at 8:15 a.m. with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m. The event will be guess your score.

Last week’s winner was Earlene Martin. The highlight of the week was Brenda Milinkovich’s birdie on No. 3N.

American Legion Tournament

The Richard I Bong Post 435 American Legion nine-hole golf tournament is Saturday at the Poplar Golf Course.

The nine-hole scramble tournament begins at 9 a.m. Teams of four and individuals are welcome.

The $10 green fee donation goes to support American Legion activities. A steak dinner following golf is available for $12.
