Hubert A. Dalbec

Hubert A. Dalbec, 77, Maple, Wis., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, Minn. He was born to Edward and Elizabeth (Derosia) Dalbec on Oct. 31, 1934, in Blueberry, Wis.

Hubert A. Dalbec, 77, Maple, Wis., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, Minn. He was born to Edward and Elizabeth (Derosia) Dalbec on Oct. 31, 1934, in Blueberry, Wis.

He lived his entire life in Blueberry, graduated from Northwestern High School and served in the United States Army.

He was employed as a school bus driver for the Northwestern School District. In addition to driving semi-truck and logging for several years, he was also employed by the grain elevators and the cannery.

He was an avid deer hunter; he raced stock cars (he was especially proud of old 777) and played softball for many years. He also served his community as a volunteer firefighter.

Hubert is survived by his wife Sharon, Merrill, Wis.; one daughter, Tonia Dalbec; three sons, Tony Dalbec, Shawn Dalbec and Shayne (Beth) Dalbec, all of Maple, Wis.; six grandchildren, Terence Dalbec, Sylvia Smith, Nicole Dalbec; Cole Dalbec, Mariah Dalbec and Noah Dalbec; three brothers, Daniel Dalbec, Brule, Wis., Ronald Dalbec, Maple and Robert Dalbec, Superior and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Betty Drolson and two brothers, Kenneth and Gerald Dalbec.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service on Saturday, Aug. 25, in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Kleinheinz, officiating.

Burial will be in St. Anne Cemetery in Blueberry, Wis.
