Senior Connections offers hot, nutritious meals Monday-Friday for people 60 or older. Meals are served at congregate sites throughout Douglas County, and are delivered to homebound individuals. Next week’s menu includes:
Aug. 20: Quiche Lorraine, cheesy hash browns, broccoli, raisin bran muffin, banana.
Aug. 21: Chicken patty on a bun, cheese slice and lettuce, peas, frosted chocolate cake.
Aug. 22: Ham salad on whole wheat bun, American cheese slice, cream of corn soup, carrot/raisin salad, dessert bar.
Aug. 23: Chicken wild rice casserole with carrots, sliced beets, whole wheat roll, peaches.
Aug. 24: Roast turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, wheat dinner roll, tropical fruit.
