Today, the Master Gardener Program is in all 50 states and several countries. To become a certified master gardener, you must complete the minimum 36 hours Level 1 training, complete at least 24 hours of volunteer service within one year of training and pass a final exam. Any adult can participate in the Master Gardener Program, no previous experience or training is necessary.
