Superior native earns DARE Officer of the Year recognition
The Grant County Sheriff’s Department announced Deputy Nathan Gallagher is the recipient of the Wisconsin D.A.R.E. Officers Association, D.A.R.E. Officer of the Year award.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Department announced Deputy Nathan Gallagher is the recipient of the Wisconsin D.A.R.E. Officers Association, D.A.R.E. Officer of the Year award.
Students and teachers from Grant County schools nominated him for his dedication and enthusiasm to the schools and students. He has been teaching D.A.R.E. for several years for Grant County and has made a difference in the lives of many fifth grade students.
Grant County Sheriff Keith Govier was instrumental in implementing the D.A.R.E. program in 1993 and has continued to be a very strong supporter, earning a Lifetime Achievement award for his dedication.
Gallagher is a 1995 graduate of Superior High School and 1999 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Superior. His parents are Jack and Ruth Gallagher of South Superior.
