June A. Warner, 79, of Gordon passed away Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at Lakeview Medical Center, Rice Lake, Wis.
June A. Warner, 79, of Gordon passed away Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at Lakeview Medical Center, Rice Lake, Wis.
June was born June 8, 1933, in Gordon. She graduated from Northwood High School and the University of Wisconsin-Superior. She taught in the elementary schools of Hawthorne, Solon Springs and Gordon, retiring from Northwood School in 1988 with 30 years of dedicated service.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Gordon-Wascott Historical Society and the Gordon Presbyterian Church.
June is survived by her husband of 56 years, Merton of Gordon; two daughters Debra (Tom Krsnich, of Appleton, Wis., Cheryl (Brian) Nickell of Solon Springs, WI, stepdaughter Diane Warner of Neenah, Wis.; one son Charles (Brenda) Warner of Minong; her grandchildren Jessica (Fiancé Tony Cashin) Nickell, Nicholas (Fiancé Amber Dillon) Al-Moghrabi, Jason (Sarah) Warner and Heather (David) Holton; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Johnson of Eleva,Wis., Carol (Craig) Smith of Gordon, Elaine (William) Bailey of Wascott; and one brother Forrest (friend Bobbie Hudson)Terry of Superior; many nieces and nephews; and a great many friends.
She is preceded in death by her father Charles, her mother Jennie and her brother, Robert.

Memorial Services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 15 at the First Presbyterian Church in Gordon. Rev. Richard Blood will officiate. Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14 at the First Presbyterian Church in Gordon.
Inurnment will be in the Gordon Memorial Cemetery.
