LETTER: Many thanks for picnic success

To the Telegram:

The annual Superior-Douglas County Senior Picnic was held Aug. 1 at the Head of the Lakes Fairgrounds. Senior Connections would like to thank all those who helped make the annual senior picnic a success. Without the help and support from the following area businesses and organizations, this event would not be able to take place.

We would like to thank the city of Superior and Douglas County, Kurtz Catering, Duluth Transit Authority, Gold Cross Ambulance, Lorren Lindevig, Franklin Foods, the Shack, Strikers Bar and Northwest Beverages, McDonalds of Superior, Lakeshore Ice, National Bank of Commerce, Superior Savings Bank, M&I Bank, Superior Choice Credit Union and Metro Credit Union.

We also would like to thank Father Leon Flaherty, Donald Salmen, Solon Springs Mercantile, the staff from Senior Connections and board members who assisted out at the picnic as well as fairgrounds staff and Superior High School students Matthew Sanda, Mike Hinaus and Joey McDonald who helped in the event set up.
