The Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center’s “Twin Ports Lighthouse Days” runs from Saturday through Tuesday, featuring lighthouse films, history walks and children’s activities.

Events take place inside the museum and outside in the park from noon to 5 p.m. each day. All programs are free.

“Twin Ports Lighthouse Days” is a celebration of the five distinctive lighthouses of the Twin Ports and the lighthouses of Lake Superior. This annual event is held around the anniversary of Aug. 7, 1789, when President George Washington signed the 9th Act of Congress federalizing the nation’s lighthouses.

For those with a Lighthouse Passport Book, we have six different lighthouse rubber stamps to make entries for the Twin Ports lights — an excellent opportunity to add to your collection.
