GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Green Bay police arrested several people at gunpoint in the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy.
Officers, with guns drawn, took several hours to secure a house in the Town of Oneida Wednesday night. WLUK-TV reports police say several families were in the home, including children. They would not say how many people were arrested and taken in for questioning in the death of Jeremy Teller.
Meanwhile, in Green Bay a fire burns in the backyard of Teller's grandmother's house. It's part of a Native American ritual to represent the victim's journey into the spiritual world. Teller's father, Joseph, says loved ones, known as fire keepers, will take turns watching the fire to make sure it doesn't burn out for four days.
Teller was fatally shot near his aunt's house Tuesday night.
