Family pet killed by wolf in Dairyland

A pet beagle was injured by wolves in the town of Dairyland on July 18, according to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. The attack occurred on private land. No caution area map was created.

This is the second dog-related wolf attack in Douglas County so far this year. A bobcat hound was killed Jan. 18 by wolves in the town of Solon Springs. Six wolves were involved in the depredation, according to information released by the DNR.
